Hello, this is Ki-Ryong Nam, Director of Genesis War.

I’m delighted to greet you all for the first time through this Developer Note. It is truly meaningful for both myself and the development team to finally present Genesis War to Guardians around the world. We are excited for the journey ahead together.

The Vision Behind Genesis War

Before diving into the main topic, I’d like to briefly introduce myself. I’ve enjoyed the SRPG genre since childhood, and it remains one of my favorite genres to this day. In particular, I’ve always loved the Ogre Battle series, including titles like Tactics Ogre, as well as the Fire Emblem series.

Reading the battlefield, weighing every move, and experiencing the depth of storytelling woven into those battles are elements that have deeply influenced me both as a gamer and as a developer.

Genesis War is built around the core appeal of classic SRPGs. Understanding the flow of battle, positioning units with precision, and turning the tide with well-timed strategy. This is a game created for players who truly enjoy that kind of experience.

Genesis War is built around three Core Pillars.

First, a vast and deeply immersive story. The War of Genesis is a grand narrative shaped by the intertwined fates and choices of complex characters. The story is the heart of the game, and it is where we devote the greatest care and attention.

Second, strategic SRPG combat. Terrain, positioning, class synergy, and timing. Every battle is designed to offer the enjoyment of thoughtful decision-making and strategy.

Third, the excitement of PvP through Guild War. This mode allows you to join forces with your Guild members and compete strategically against other Guilds, combining teamwork with tactical depth.

As mentioned earlier, I have been greatly influenced by the Ogre Battle Saga and the Fire Emblem series, and those influences are naturally reflected in Genesis War. If you enjoyed those titles, we believe you will also find Genesis War to be a rewarding experience.

Upcoming Content

The three elements mentioned above form the Core Pillars of Genesis War, and beyond them, we are preparing a wide range of additional content, including Raids.

Guild War is currently in preparation for its preseason, with plans to launch the official season in the near future. In addition, “Challenges” content will be opening soon, so we hope Guardians who enjoy strategic gameplay will look forward to it.

Direction for Global Service Operations

Some of you may be wondering about the content gap between the Korean server, which has already been live, and the global service. Regarding this, we do not plan to forcefully close that gap. We believe it is more important for our global Guardians to enjoy the game naturally, without feeling pressured or rushed.

Story, combat, and character growth... With these key aspects of the game experience in mind, we will manage the pace of content updates so that you can fully enjoy each stage.

The Journey Ahead

We will continue to listen closely to the voices of our Guardians and strive to build a service together through ongoing communication via Developer Notes and official channels.

Genesis War is a game we have created with sincerity and dedication. We will do our utmost to ensure that your time with it is truly worthwhile.
