Dear Guardians,

Hello, this is Ki-Ryong Nam, Director of Genesis War.

It's been a while since our last Developer's Note. Since Genesis War's official launch on April 28, we've been able to come this far thanks to all the Guardians who've journeyed through Antaria's story with us. We sincerely thank each and every one of you who take to the battlefield each day and share valuable feedback with us through the community and Discord. Today, we'd like to start by sharing news about an upcoming update, and about the character at its center.

Second Outer One, Heidelloon

First, the biggest news. We're preparing the arrival of Heidelloon, the second Outer One to appear in Genesis War.

As you saw with Black Prince, the first Outer One added to the game, Outer Ones are beings who stand outside the observation and record of the world of Kosmos. They are, in a sense, living exceptions, capable of shaking the very rules of the world itself. Heidelloon is the second such character.

Heidelloon left a powerful impression in the original game, The War of Genesis. Though not the central protagonist of the story, his presence alone left a lasting mark on many players' memories. He showed up as a formidable enemy, but behind that lies things he couldn't protect and choices he couldn't take back. We believe that even Guardians unfamiliar with the original will naturally come to feel the loneliness and weight of tragedy behind Heidelloon's brilliance as they follow his story. We'll be unveiling his full narrative gradually through the Kosmos Saga going forward, so for now, we hope you'll look forward to imagining what kind of person he might be.

In battle, Heidelloon has a feel unlike any character you've met so far. Rather than being built around raw, head-on power, we're designing him to be a disruptive combatant who intervenes directly in the rules and flow of the battlefield itself. He'll be able to affect things normally taken for granted, like Elemental Advantages and battlefield conditions, giving you the fun of throwing off your opponent's calculations. In PvP especially, we believe Heidelloon's presence alone will change the way players read the board. We hope you'll experience firsthand, on the battlefield, a presence worthy of the name Outer One.

Preparing for Our 6-Month Anniversary

Genesis War will soon reach its 6-month anniversary. It may be a short span of time, but to show our gratitude to all the Guardians who've been with us, we're preparing a variety of content, systems, and reward-filled events. Let us introduce a few of them in advance.

New Content: "Error Code: Diene"

As a major piece of our 6-month anniversary content, we're introducing the World Boss raid "Error Code: Diene." Diene is the Prime God who presides over justice among Antaria's Twelve Prime Gods. In this new content, Guardians join forces to take on a powerful boss bearing that name.

"Error Code: Diene" runs on a seasonal basis, with rewards granted based on the record you build up over the season, designed so that the more consistently you take on the challenge, the more valuable the rewards you'll earn.

Rather than a fight that depends on a handful of specific heroes, we've designed it so that heroes of various elements and types each have their own role to play depending on the season. You'll be able to see the many heroes you've carefully trained finally earn their place on this battlefield. We think Guardians with a broader roster of characters will find even more enjoyment here.

Preset Feature Added

We're well aware of the feedback that reconfiguring your lineup, gear, skills, and runes for every different game mode is an unnecessary hassle, and to mark this 6-month anniversary, we're adding a preset feature that lets you save and load your formation and setup.

You'll be able to save your optimal combinations in advance for raids, PvP, and various growth content, and switch between them easily depending on the situation. Our goal with this feature is to keep the enjoyment of thinking through strategy intact, while taking away the trouble of setting up that strategy over and over again.

Other Convenience Improvements

Alongside this, we're also adding a range of convenience features to make your gameplay more comfortable, including inventory expansion and an auto-formation function. We believe that reducing the small frustrations you feel in everyday play matters just as much as delivering big, flashy content. We'll continue making improvements in this direction going forward.

Right now, we're putting everything we have into the final stretch of preparation to bring you Heidelloon and the 6-month anniversary update in the best possible form. Please bear with us just a little longer. Soon we'll be back with Heidelloon's full video and a variety of promotions. We'll share the detailed schedule through notices as soon as it's confirmed.

And ahead of Heidelloon's arrival, we have one more piece of good news. Black Prince, the first Outer One many of you have asked us to bring back, will be returning as a rerun a little earlier than expected. If you missed your chance during the previous pickup, please keep this in mind.

Once Heidelloon joins the battlefield, PvP will become even more strategic and intense than it is now. We hope this new disruptive force on the battlefield will help create moments where your own strategy shines even brighter.
