Greetings, Guardians.

This is Yeonkyu Choi, Narrative Director of "Genesis War."

In this Developer's Note, we would like to introduce Heidelloon, our newest hero.

Even within the long history of The War of Genesis, Heidelloon appears in a relatively distant future. He may therefore feel somewhat unfamiliar to Guardians following the story of the current global version.

Before the formal introduction, we would like to briefly explain why Heidelloon is joining as a hero before he has appeared in the Main Story, and how the story unfolds in Genesis War.

"The War of Genesis: One Long History"

The War of Genesis series tells one vast history across multiple titles.

It begins with "The War of Genesis" and "The War of Genesis II," which recount the battles that made up the War of Genesis itself, continues with "The Rhapsody of Zephyr" and "Tempest," set in the eras that follow, and extends to "The War of Genesis III" and "The War of Genesis III: Part 2," which tell of an even more distant future. Stories from different eras and regions are woven into a single chronicle.

The protagonists and events of each title may seem independent, but the choices of one era shape the fate of the next. The descendants of factions that were once enemies may become allies in time, and a choice left behind by one person may return in a completely different form after many years.

This interconnection of characters and events across such a long span of time is one of the defining features of The War of Genesis series.

The Main Story in the current global version has progressed through roughly 80% of the War itself, the period covered by "The War of Genesis II." In addition, part of the story of "Tempest" is being introduced through side story content.

Many eras and characters have yet to appear in the global version's Main Story. Heidelloon, whom we are introducing now, is also someone you would normally meet much later in the history.

"Kosmos Saga, Where Characters Meet Across Eras"

Alongside the Main Story, which follows the history of the original, Genesis War features "Kosmos Saga," an original story exclusive to the mobile version.

Currently, 9 of the 11 episodes of Kosmos Saga Season 1 have been released in the global version.

Kosmos Saga is a crossover story in which characters from different eras of The War of Genesis series come together. Heroes who could never have met within the Main Story's chronicle become comrades, or at times stand against one another, fighting for what they believe in.

As a result, characters from eras far later than the current Main Story may appear in Kosmos Saga first. Characters who have not yet been born in the Main Story, or who have yet to face their fate, may appear before you, already having experienced a great deal in their past.

Kosmos Saga is not merely a story for gathering popular characters from various eras in one place.

The aim is to show what choices characters who lived in different eras and under different fates make when they meet, and which path they would take if given the possibilities left unfulfilled in the original.

Through this, we hope to show Guardians familiar with the original new possibilities for characters they know, and to give global Guardians encountering The War of Genesis for the first time an opportunity to become curious about the characters and events they will meet ahead.

"The Pursuer Who Left His Name Behind"

Heidelloon is a pursuer who lives only to chase one person.

He, too, once had a different name and a different life. He had comrades who fought by his side, someone he wanted to protect, and a future he wished to carry forward.

But the moment he lost someone dear to him and learned of the misunderstanding entangled in that death, his life changed completely.

He leaves his former name and life behind and takes on the name "Heidelloon." All that remains for him now is to find the cause of the tragedy that took everything from him and to pursue the one person at its center to the very end.

Judging only by his cold, resolute demeanor, Heidelloon might seem like someone who has cast aside every emotion except vengeance. But beneath that cold exterior lie the sorrow and anger he could never erase, and the deep regret over the choices he made.

Who is the person he is chasing? What happened between the two of them? And why did he have to abandon his past and become Heidelloon?

The answers to these questions belong to a distant part of the story that has not yet been revealed in the global version. In this Developer's Note, we do not intend to reveal them ahead of time.

For now, it is enough to remember that he is "someone who has lost something and, unable to accept that loss, continues his pursuit across time and fate."

"Meeting the Outcome First, Then Looking Back at the Beginning"

With this update, global Guardians will first meet him as he is after becoming Heidelloon.

Then, someday, as time advances further in the Main Story, you will meet the version of him from the past, before he was called Heidelloon.

He may wear a completely different expression then. He will be called by another name, fighting alongside the people dear to him and dreaming of a future rather than revenge.

We believe that seeing his past when you already know who he becomes will evoke emotions different from those of experiencing the story in the original's chronological order.

Every time you see him smile, you will think of the tragedy to come, and as you watch him forge precious bonds, you will find yourself wondering how this man later became a cold pursuer.

Meeting the outcome first, then learning the causes and the process one by one through the Main Story, is also one way to experience the long chronicle of Genesis War.

"A Story That Has Not Ended"

For Guardians who remember the original, Heidelloon is probably a character who calls to mind both the tragedy of an era and how it ended.

But Genesis War's Kosmos Saga poses one more question to him.

'If his journey had not ended there, where would he have gone?'

The Heidelloon joining us now is a character who began from that very question.

He is someone who cannot stop his pursuit even though he knows the past cannot be undone. Someone who has fixed his eyes on a single goal for so long that he does not know where to go once he reaches it.

And someone who must make one more choice at the end of the truth he has been chasing.

Where his pursuit will lead, and what choice Heidelloon will make at the end of that journey, we invite you to find out through the Kosmos Saga to come.

To Guardians who know the original, we would be grateful if you could keep his identity and past close to your heart for a little while and watch alongside global Guardians as they meet Heidelloon for the first time.

Heidelloon, the pursuer whose chase has yet to end, arrives on October 13.
